Overview of the Geography of Saint Philip

Saint Philip is the least populated parish of Antigua, home to 3,689 people in a 2018 estimate. Saint Philip is mostly xeric scrub and is composed of two peninsulas separated by Nonsuch Bay and Ayers Creek. The most densely populated part of the parish is the northern peninsula, with only scattered settlement along the coast and in the southern scrubland. Saint Philip is the easternmost part of the country, with its rough Atlantic coast having many coral reefs, bays, and inlets. Saint Philip has a large number of offshore islands and is at a slightly higher elevation than the rest of the island. The southern peninsula tends to be more elevated than the northern peninsula.
