The Bendals question

Bendals is a large village located in the St. John's Division of central Antigua. It is a rather dispersed settlement with two non-contiguous settlement areas: one in the north around 17.08057° N, 61.82950° W, and one in the south around 17.07203° N, 61.83640° W. The main places of Bendals, Bathlodge, Green Castle, and Emmanuel, while officially separate villages, form one large community. The place names of Green Castle and Bathlodge are well-known around the island, but an Axarplex interview with local residents found that 'Emmanuel', while certainly a real place recognised by the National Bureau of Statistics, is only recognised by some elderly, local residents. Axarplex recommends that 'Bendals' only be used to refer to the main place, while always noting the Bathlodge-Emmanuel-Green Castle distinction. The status of the Bendals Road main place as part of this community is more ambiguous and should be considered below the main place-level.
